Dewdrop Institute’s Expansion Strategy for the Market
To expand the hospitality market Dewdrop Institute (DDI) team has done extensive survey with key hospitality industry stakeholders as well as Schools and Government Agencies in our region to determine the programs that would be best suited for this market.
We have adopted a multi-stakeholder engagement strategy targeting educational institutions, private sector investors, industry associations, and government agencies.
We will initiate our “catch them young” pilot program with select post-secondary schools, offer the more advanced programs to the existing hospitality workforce and collaborate with strategic partners to implement workforce development programs tailored to support the Government’s TVET vision.

Dewdrop Institute’s Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
Strong Partnership
Dewdrop Institute’s market advantage lies in strong partnerships with industry players like BON Hotel Group of South Africa
Employability
Our programs are designed with employers and for employers
Career Growth
We are “making a refreshing change” by ensuring training leads to actual employment pathways and career growth
Our expansion strategy is built around four key pillars
Engagement with Educational Institutions
In December 2024, DDI signed a strategic Partnership Agreement with the Institute for Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu to offer learner-centered, affordable, and impactful training that would upskill the hospitality industry workforce. We also plan to partner with 2 or more private and state-owned secondary and tertiary institutions this year to introduce Hospitality Career Awareness Programs. Through workshops, seminars, and career talks with parents’ students and teachers, we will reposition hospitality as a dignified, professional career path. DDI will offer pathway programs and joint certification opportunities, enabling students to gain industry-relevant skills while in school..
Engagement with Industry Associations
Aligning with Midscale and Domestic Travel Growth We will collaborate with local hotel, restaurant, and catering associations to conduct skills gap assessments and deliver tailored workforce up skilling programs. DDI will also introduce a “Hospitality Excellence Initiative” to celebrate service quality and professionalism, showcasing positive role models and reshaping public perception of the industry.
Government-Led and Institutional Collaboration
Dewdrop Institute is proud to be newly registered for participation in the Federal Government’s World Bank-funded IDEAS Project, which supports innovation and development in skills acquisition. We are also aligned with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) initiatives focused on developing vocational skills particularly among Nigeria’s youth and women.
Collaboration with State Government
Partnering with the Enugu State Government’s Ministry of Tourism, Education, and Youth Development, DDI will support ongoing investments in hospitality infrastructure by offering workforce development programs tailored to the state’s vision. Through these integrated efforts, DDI will support the growth of a skilled, professional hospitality workforce in Enugu, help elevate industry standards and change societal perceptions—transforming hospitality from a misunderstood sector into a symbol of economic opportunity and pride.
