Description

Introduction

The Front Office of a hotel has different sections that a guest moves through right from the entrance to moving around to the Business centre. This requires the Front Office staff to be aware of the different sections to help guide guests around and people coming to visit guests in the hotel.

By learners understanding the different sections that are present within the Front Office they will be able to understand the needed sections that are needed within the Front Office for guests to be comfortable. That is arriving, during their stay and departing the hotel.

Learning Outcomes

  1. To become aware of the different sections that are found within the Front Office.
  2. To understand the different sections that are needed for guests’ needs and guests that visit a hotel.

Upon completion, candidates will be able to:

  • The learner should be able to tell the different sections that are needed in the Front Office.
  • The learner should be able to know the section within the Front Office and see the need for the section for guests use.

Note from the instructor…

To understand the different sections that are found within the Front office is important as it gives insight to know how the Front Office works. Guests have different needs as some are business travelers, tourists or are vising family and friends. As a hotelier becoming aware of the needed sections for guests to have certain facilities like a business centre for business travelers or a lobby area for guests to receive people is important.
