In celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD), the Dewdrop Foundation successfully hosted an empowering workshop for over 60 women, focusing on financial literacy, digital banking, and strategies for launching and growing small businesses. The event, held at the Dewdrop Institute office, brought together industry experts from Zenith Prudential, Zenith Insurance Enugu, and Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, who delivered inspiring sessions on self-development, resilience, and financial independence.
Empowering Women as Leaders and Innovators
Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, Executive Director of Dewdrop Group, opened the event by reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to empowering women through education, skills development, and fostering resilience. She emphasized that the foundation’s mission goes beyond providing aid—it aims to equip women with the tools and platforms they need to become active leaders and innovators in their communities.
“Our goal is to empower women not just as recipients of support, but as drivers of change. By providing resources and opportunities, we amplify their voices and enable them to create lasting impact,” Mrs. Nnaji stated.
She also highlighted Dewdrop’s broader initiatives, including its efforts to care for vulnerable elderly populations, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect. Addressing the critical issue of sexual harassment, Mrs. Nnaji reiterated the foundation’s zero-tolerance stance and commitment to creating safe spaces where victims are heard and perpetrators are held accountable.
Mrs. Nnaji called for a collective commitment to these causes, urging attendees to work together to build a society where women are empowered, the elderly are cared for, and everyone can live free from fear and harassment. “Let us strive for a future defined by compassion, justice, and lasting positive change,” she concluded.
