Dewdrop Institute, Enugu Center, proudly graduated its Cohorts 2 and 3 caregivers of the Professional Care Services (PCS) program for 2024. Twenty-two graduates successfully completed the program, which is accredited by City & Guilds UK and the Skills Development Council Canada. These caregivers are now equipped with the expertise and compassion necessary to meet the growing demand for quality care services in their communities.
The event featured a keynote address delivered by Mr. Felix Eze, representing Mr. Paschal Eze of JimmyPas Educational & Consultancy Services Ltd. In his speech, Mr. Eze emphasized the critical role of caregivers in society, stating, “Caregivers are the unsung heroes of our communities, providing not just physical support but emotional and psychological stability to those in need. Your work impacts generations.”
Ms. Uchechukwu Nwodo of Pietan Caring Mission for Poor Foundation also addressed the audience. She highlighted the essence of compassion in caregiving, remarking, “Professionalism in caregiving is incomplete without empathy. It is this balance of skill and heart that sets you apart.”
The ceremony was further graced by the presence of the Executive Director of Dewdrop Institute, Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, who congratulated the graduates and reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to excellence. She said, “You are not just graduates; you are ambassadors of hope and professionalism. The skills and values you have acquired here will ripple through the lives you touch.”
A standout moment was the valedictory speech by Barrister Dr. Queen Ngozi Ugwu, one of the graduating learners. She shared her inspiring journey through the program, saying, “This course has been more than an education; it has been a transformation. We leave here not just as caregivers but as change-makers prepared to uplift those who rely on us.”
